Of course, these features are divided among the various trim levels available to customize exactly the truck you need. So, which one is right for you? Check out our complete list and breakdown of the new 2018 Ram 3500 trim levels, so you can make the right configuration choice for your pickup truck needs!

2018 Ram 3500 Trim Levels

The new 2018 Ram 3500 trim levels give you a whopping ten different choices of features packaged together, with a number of different options packages you can add on to each. These ten trim levels are the base entry level Tradesman, the SLT trim, the mid-range Big Horn, Lone Star and Sport trims, the Power Wagon, Laramie and Laramie Longhorn performance trims, and the range-topping Limited and Limited Tungsten trims.

The Tradesman is an outstanding choice for those looking for a basic truck that will accomplish all your day-to-day needs. It features power accessories, but keeps it simple on the bells and whistles. The Laramie and Longhorn trims, or the Limited with 5th-Wheel and Towing Prep Pack are great for towing capacities and offer outstanding comfort for long drives.

Looking for a day-to-day driver, which is also outstanding for handling dirty work on the weekends? Check out the SLT crew cab, and go for a short bed.

Maximum Features

If you're looking for the maximum features, go for the Laramie trim, which adds all the power accessories, heated mirrors, power back window, satellite radio, and full touchscreen infotainment interface from the lower levels, plus features like remote-start, household power outlet, parking sensors, automatic climate control, heated steering wheel, surround-sound audio, limited-slip differential, and a host of other features.

Cabs and Configurations

In addition to the ten trim levels on the new Ram 3500, there are a number of different cab styles and configurations. These include a regular cab, crew cab, and mega cab, with the first being two-door, and the latter two being four-door. The regular cab is only available in an 8-foot bed length. The crew cab is available in the 8-foot bed or with a 6'4 short bed. The mega cab comes only with the short bed. In the end, the crew cab is the best value for options, if nothing else.

Most trim levels are driven by a 5.7L V8 engine which has 383 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Two optional engines are also available: a 6.4L V8 at 410 horsepower with 429 lb-ft of torque, or a 6.7L turbo six with 350 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque.

The numbers for this top engine can be boosted with two optional transmission upgrades which deliver 370 horsepower and 800 lb-ft, and 385 horsepower with 900 lb-ft, respectively.
